HipoChris is the artist name for Christian Aligasim, a Nigerian-born afro-trap musician known for his distinctive raspy voice. He started writing songs for friends in high school with no intention to perform, but despite his hesitation and lack of confidence in his voice, he gave recording a shot and the reception was incredible; the producer in the room said “there's no way you're not going to be a singer”, and the rest is history. Another key part of HipoChris’s artistry is visuals, having started off as a dancer as well as having a passion for fashion leading him to be called the “drip lord” by his contemporaries.
