Juilliard-trained cellist Isabel Gehweiler is a Prizewinner of the European Artistic Grant, one of the highest European awards for young musicians, previously conferred on artists as violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and cellist Sol Gabetta.
Isabel Gehweiler has been trained as a classical musicians (Master of Arts in orchestra performance, as a soloist and in music pedagogy), but she is specializing since childhood in trans-disciplinary performances as pop productions (u.A. with Andreas Vollenweider, Gianna Nannini, Sina, and multiple bands), theatre productions (uA. with legendary Swiss director Christoph Marthaler), as a film music recording artist, in contemporary classical performances, improvisational performances and performances with ballet or light installations (u.A. with Projektil).

2020 she was together with Andreas Vollenweider on the CD "Quiet Places" (feat. Isabel Gehweiler) in the Swiss charts on place #8, German charts on place #45 and the Billboard charts on place #5 in the category "Classical Crossover"
Ms Gehweiler has appeared on numerous festivals in Switzerland, Germany, France, Netherlands, USA, Japan, Norway, Denmark, Israel, Slovenia and Austria.
Ms Gehweiler is a recipient of the "Kunstpreis" Artist Award by the Kunstiftung Baden-Württemberg (2011), the "Markgräfler Kulturpreis" (2012) and the European Artistic Grant for emerging artists (2007).
