Hip hop/Rap artist Calikane’s love for music has inspired all he does. He believes that music is life and life is like a melody. Every situation we deal with can flow no matter the circumstances as long as we are on time with our response to the situation. He believes that all songs that deal with situations and real life circumstances can heal and help us through life’s struggles. Born and Raised in the east bay of northern California, Calikane was influenced by an array of bay area and Sacramento artist. At the age of 15, Calikane began forming his craft. From there he fell more into the production/engineering side of things. In 2008 he produced the majority of his first album “Life or Death”. He has performed songs from this album and his mixed tape nation wide. His music reflects his belief in God and how we interact with Life. He calls it the beautiful struggle. He is transparent with his listener in his struggles because he believes that without a Goliath there is no king David. He believes love is the main motivator that covers a multitude of sin because if we were in the position of being judged we would want mercy to triumph over judgment. Currently he is working on an EP called Chronic Pain: The Beautiful Struggle that he has released 3 singles from. The latest track being released on October 29th is produced by Dream Life beats.
