As his name suggests, West$ide Vo proudly represents his side of Atlanta, GA, and that southern pride can be heard in every bassline boom and high hat tick. Since ‘97, David Anthony Price has always had an ear for eclectic sounds and a talent to harness them. As a ‘little tyke’ the sounds of big sister’s favorites such as OutKast and momma’s love for Luther and Michael have always made Vo’s foot tap and soul sing. Playing trumpet in various marching, symphonic, and jazz bands all through grade school brought Price into contact with not only the finest music an ear ever heard, but also fellow melophiles who would become integral in jumpstarting his music career. Drawing inspiration from superhero movie soundtracks has always inspired the classical instrumentation for his up tempo melodies. The 808s, and use of syncopated rhythms in the drums will remind you of the musicality found in 2000s dirty south rap. When you hear “Save It David”, it’s an indication of a hero producer coming to the rescue.
