Guitarist Werner Tian Fischer was a founding member of the acclaimed folk-pop-group Starfish before leaving for Boston in early 2000 to widen his jazzy horizon. Over the past two decades, he initiated the guitar duo All Standard Guitars, the transatlantic octet The Sam Trümpy Memorial, and most importantly, his jazz unit Travelogue, featuring saxophonist Jürg Wickihalder. From 2008 until 2012, he was also a member of the Mya Audrey Trio. In 2010/11, Werner resided as house guitarist at Beijing's legendary CD Blues Café. In the following years, he performed together with 'Big John' Zhang Ling at festivals all over China and accompanied Diane Schuur, Patti Austin, Yolanda Adams, Jody Watley, Shawn Colvin, Rodney Crowell, Richard Marx, Leo Sayer, Michael Bolton, Song Zuying, Tan Jing and Lang Lang in the spectacular 2013 Night of Fortune Grammy Superstars at Chengdu's Olympic Stadium. Recently, he produced the debut of Lil Snowflake, a promising young Sino-Swiss singer.
