Ese Okorodudu is founder and leader of the extended musical family that is Ese & The Vooduu People. Singer-songwriter Ese (vocals, guitar) is backed a floating pool of some of the UK's best musicians. She's inspired by an eclectic selection of legends from Jimi Hendrix, Sly & The Family Stone and Led Zeppelin to Dr. John and Skunk Anansie, via David Bowie and Prince.  A killer live act, they are signed to Quadrafon Music Industries and recorded two singles in 2017, “Dynamite” and “Fairytale”. The expanded “Dynamite EP” was released in Jan 2018, with a recording of the band’s first gig with this line-up released as “The Bootleg Series Volume 1” in April. The debut album, "Up In Smoke", with Gearbox Records founder Darrel Sheinman producing, was released in May 2019 on vinyl and CD, preceded by a number singles. Just before the Covid lockdown (March) a gig at the Troubadour in London was recorded and released as "Mercury In Retrograde" in September 2020. 2022's first single was a magisterial cover of Gil Scott-Heron's "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" followed by "Colours" in June.
