James Carlisle, aka Jimii HitMaker, was born & raised in the Bronx NewYork. He found his way down south to Suffolk, Virginia in the summer of 2001.He first discovered his love for music in the early 90s, with Notorious B.I.G ,Tupac, Jay-Z, Nas & many others being an inspiration to him. Jimii was 18 when he decided to take rap serious but he let fear stand in his way. So he never pursued his dream, but continued writing. It wasn't until spring 2014 where he decided to stand out & pursue his dreams. He put his fear to the side and started on his first EP, "HisStorytoGlory". He also released a single & video, "All That Matters" to show his diversity with the R&B side of things. With HisStoryToGlory being Jimiis 1st project , that was studio produced he found his love & never turned back .When Jimii lost his mother in November of 2015, he found himself at a musical and personal crossroads. He could give up, succumb to his misfortunes, or he could use his loss and hurt as a springboard for musical and personal growth. Jimii chose the latter, refusing defeat, and releasing some of his most popular music to date , Which was the project that got Jimii in the position he is in now .
