Alijah Williams, known professionally as Alijah Tha Great, is an American recording artist from the south side of Chicago. He started making music at the age of 14 when he wrote his first song “We Da Best” and has gone on to perform at several events/venues throughout the city including recently headlining the After, After, After Party. 
 He first discovered a passion for music at a young age when he began listening and collecting CDs of artists in genres of Pop, Hip Hop, Alternative among other genres citing artists like Kanye West, The Game, Willow, Jim Johnston, and Michael Jackson as some of his earliest influences 
 His latest EP titled “Perseverance” draws inspiration from the likes of other recording artists such as 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar and Kid Cudi, and he cites the autobiography of basketball star Derrick Rose titled “I’ll Show You” as a motivator to use his story to inspire others to continue to pursue their dreams through all the trials and tribulations of life
