OG Lincoln, aka Lincoln first started rapping back in 2009 while learning to engineer himself in a program called edit pro. In 2012, he started making his own beats after not finding any he liked. He later stopped rapping to focus on making beats and recording other people full-time. Lincoln’s style of music consist of sampling old songs that everyone knows. He takes those samples and tries to flip them into something new. He also tries not to make the same beats over and over. His inspiration comes from many like Kanye West, Big K.R.I.T. and J Cole who all make beats and rap. “My influences created a whole new sound/wave. I try to do that every time I open FL studio” When asked about his sound evolving, he states that: “After being in music for a while, you start to realize that it never really evolves; things just get recycled over and over again. It’s time for everybody to go back to being lyrical.” Lincoln has worked on many projects this year. His stand out projects are “Hoodrich Kasino,” a joint tape with LilCj Kasino and Hoodrich Pablo Jaun and LilCJ’s “War God” project. He executively produced, recorded, mixed and mastered it all.
