I was born and raised in beautiful Denver, CO! My name is Zach but everyone calls me Stilz pronounced "styles". I have been inspired not just by the typical Hip Hop legends but also a lot of Rock, Pop, R&B and EDM artists as well. My journey began my senior year in high school after a very close cousin of mine was killed in a car accident. I was in a dark place and was getting into a lot of trouble and just didn't really have any direction or guidance. I was secretly writing poems but didn't want any of my friends to know for some reason lol. I put together a home made mic made of an early 2000's computer stick mic and like 4 socks rolled over it and duck tape to hold it together. I found a free recording program and an instrumental I had downloaded from LimeWire. I had 4-6 songs that I had practiced 100x ready to go and sat in my aunts computer room and recorded them all in like 45 minutes lol. They had played 1 that I wrote for my cousin at her funeral and a few of my older cousins heard it and took me under their wing. They went by Empire Nation at the time and were doing shows all over Colorado and the SW region. They invited me to go to New Mexico to watch them perform and I was hooked from that moment on. Since then I have dedicated a lot of time and money into perfecting my craft. I write, produce, mix, master, film/edit videos, and graphics on my own.
