As a child, Sang Lian Uk always loved singing. He would prance around his house singing the gospel songs his parents listened to and would always sing along to the songs at his local church. He started writing short stories in elementary school and, later, poems in middle school. At the age of 16, he joined his church’s youth singing program and learned to play guitar, and wrote his first serious song for his Christmas church concert. He continues to write and sing songs at his bedroom, expressing his innermost thoughts with sincerity and honesty.
