Anderson is a Dublin-based musician, songwriter, and producer, known for his dedication to crafting sophisticated and melodic pop songs that light up the indie landscape. His songs often pivot on a dynamic lyricism that accentuates the vibrancy of his lush arrangements and detailed instrumentation. Anderson’s debut album Patterns was released in 2015 and received praise for its timeless sound and rich production. Patterns is a testament to a complete DIY approach to music making. Leaning on his experiences as an electrician's apprentice prior to his career in music, Anderson built the recording studio from which he wrote, produced, and mixed the entire album alone. The album drew comparisons to classic artists like Paul Simon, Paul McCartney and Harry Nilsson, thanks to its warm, melodic style and seductive arrangements. The Irish Times succinctly described it as “a work of grand beauty”. Anderson announced its long-awaited follow-up Some Rain Must Fall would be released in November 2024. The first two tracks from the record, (Pictures of You and The Artist) released as a double a-side showcased a more innovative, contemplative tone, diving deeper into themes of creativity and identity, recalling the dystopian obsessions of David Bowie and the existential playfulness of David Byrne’s Talking Heads.
