Bongani Koketso Diphikwe, popularly known as DJ SOL K, is an amapiano DJ whose background is rooted in the Northern Cape. The 20-year-old, who was raised in Pampierstad and Hartswater, started making music in 2018 and has been burning up the decks since then. Inspired by then music duo JazziDisciples (which was made up of his icon JazziQ and Josia De Disciple) and Vigro Deep, DJ SOL K fell in love with the amapiano genre and has released four Eps, including one in collaboration with music producer, Foi. His first EP, Seven7Teen was released in 2021, followed by 8-Teen and Kasi-Burb Lifestyle in 2022 and The S&F Project in 2023.11.07 One of his biggest performing tracks, Ice Tip, featuring Jay Music, reached a million streams in a year. He’s also collaborated with talented music artists like producer and vocalist duo DaJiggaSA & Mfana Mdu, new age kwaito artist Puff Nesca and Afrotech producer Killotronix.
