Tom Vedvik is a Los Angeles-based composer and music producer originally from Norway. His solo and collaborative works include highly textured ambient recordings, jazz-inspired electronica with Twilight Archive and evocative music for film and television. Vedvik first gained exposure with two experimental ambient albums released on CyberOctave/Virgin Records - Slowdiver (1996) and Sutraspin (1997). This new music was immediately featured on nationally syndicated radio programs like John Diliberto’s Echoes and Musical Starstreams on NPR. Later collaborations with cellist/pianist Martin Tillman led to the release of several music cues in the Oscar-nominated film Ali. Their music can also be heard in an eclectic mix of film and television programming, from Animal Planet to Saturday Night Live, David Attenborough’s Natural World to Lost Treasures of the Maya, Alone, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, and many more programs in the US, on the BBC and throughout Europe. Vedvik also composed the score for all 24 episodes of the Norwegian crime drama series Fox Grønland.
