Nasce a Torino nel 2011 ed è il progetto solista di Giorgio Pilon. Progetto che si pone come una dichiarazione d’amore nei confronti della musica elettronica più intimista e malinconica. Le influenze più dirette sono ascrivibili alla Sheffield di inizi ‘80, i Boards Of Canada, Raime e Demdike Stare, oltre a labels quali la Blackest Ever Black. selfimperfectionist è un progetto appartenente all’area più undeground della scena musicale torinese e il suo esordio “Tooting Park Station” (2012 - L.M.H.Records) è stato segnalato sulla rubrica di RUMORE dedicata alle 50 più significative uscite italiane degli anni ‘10 ed è stato recentemente coinvolto nella ristampa di EL MUNIRIA – Stanza 218 con il remix di un brano.
