Dono Vegas is from Jackson, Mississippi. He started rapping over a decade ago under the name Young Vegas. The Vegas part of his name comes from the casinos located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vegas played into the casino theme by making himself the one everyone is betting on. 
 Vegas may have started rapping a decade ago, but music has always been apart of his life. At the age of 8, Vegas would call into the local radio station in his hometown and freestyle for the D.J. on air. His passion for music grew as Vegas became older. In 2014 Vegas began pursuing his career as a hip-hop artist with the release of his mixtape JackPot. The tape was themed to play into his name. 2014 was also the year Vegas moved to Chicago to begin networking. 
 Vegas would remain in Chicago another four years to continue building his relationships and learning about the music industry. In 2017 Vegas released his highly anticipated album Valley S.T. Vegas. Vegas would return to Mississippi and began laying the groundwork for his album No Excuses. 
 Vegas continued to build momentum and market himself across the state with features as he prepared fans for the release of his album No Excuses. Vegas delivered his album No Excuses in July 2020, which has been streamed over 150,000 times. Vegas has a fan base throughout Houston, Los Angels, Dallas, New York, Chicago, and of course, his home Mississippi. 
 Vegas also acts as an executive for his record label D.O.N.O. Global
