Jonathan & His Phony Band was formed one heart-breaking afternoon on the shores of Aptos, California. Deeply moved by the ocean, lumber, and hockey, Jonathan & His Phony Band set out on a musical journey to pay tribute to these three wonders and also to recite the artistic genius of Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Utada Hikaru, Lana Del Rey, and Eric Church.
