Out of nearly 2000 entries, Mathew was chosen as a contestant in the 2023 “You, God’s Music Showcase” singing competition judged by Dove Award winner Jordan Feliz, The Voice Season 9 winner Jordan Smith and Billboard charting Christian contemporary artist Blanca. The competition had the judges review contestants leading up to the Top 5 that competed live at the Tobin Center in San Antonio, TX. Mathew’s journey saw him move through 3 rounds of competition which eventually landed him a spot in the Semifinal Round and joining the Top 25 contestants. With strong vocals and original music, Mathew had a profound finish to the competition that he received a personal invite to the live show finale headlined by The Newsboys. Since 2016, Mathew has released multiple radio hits as well as an EP titled The Throne which was released in 2019. 2022 saw Mathew open up for Four-Time Dove Award Winner and Latin Grammy Nominated Artist Alex Zurdo in San Benito, TX as part of his 2022 DTOX Tour. Shortly after that, Mathew was invited to sing the National Anthem at a Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game, the Double-A affiliate to the then World Champion Houston Astros. Mathew has now recently debuted his latest EP titled Resisting You featuring his new hit single Your Amazing Grace.
