Matt has served as a worship pastor for the past 25+ years. His new release, "Art of Life" will be available on October 26, 2018. The vision for this CD started in 2015, after he lost his wife to an aggressive form of breast cancer. Widowed and raising two daughters, Matt decided the best way to honor his late wife, Marybeth, was to create music that will bring hope and healing to others walking a difficult journey. Proceeds for his new recording will benefit The Art of Life Cancer Foundation, based in Fresno, California. On August 18, 2017, Matt remarried Kari, who lost her husband in 2015 as well. Together, they have a blended family of 7 children. Up until they met in 2016, Matt and Kari’s world’s couldn’t have been farther apart, yet run so parallel. Both married at 19 years of age and serving in ministry throughout their married life, they found that they had much in common; and they also found love in relating to their healing. “We are in awe of the story God has given us; He has shown that He is good at restoration, that it’s okay to love twice and again, and that we’re never finished being made into God’s best version of us.” God has allowed them to share their journey with others who have experienced loss and now are "blending while mending". Through their transparency, they pray that their journey can inspire others to know that God can bring beauty from the ashes.
