Samuel Williams is a London-based musician releasing neo-classical pieces. He also makes hip-hop music with his friend Borondo under the name Akassia, and feels slightly uncomfortable speaking in the third person. I take inspiration from classical, jazz, lofi, hip-hop and electronic music. My influences include Joep Beving, Nils Frahm, Grandbrothers, Hania Rani and Philip Glass. My tracks each have a different story. Resolve concerns the human capacity to continue in the face of suffering. The melody of the piece seeks to capture the beauty of this capacity. Momentum concerns the importance of continuity and habit-building in the leading of a flourishing life. The rhythms of the piece seek to capture this continuity.
