SUNSHINE is a young aspiring artist from Georgia, working to discover and one day create like-minded communities that prioritize equality, justice, and kindness. Though their biggest priority is currently professional dance, music has played a big roll in their life for its entirety and they have recently redescovered their love for creating it and is eager to share. SUNSHINE is now based in New York City and enjoys joining creative spaces of any kind in each city. Their first song NYX ft. n8land was written from a LGBTQIA+ and feminist point of view and drew inspiration from their troubles as a young, fem presenting, queer person growing up in a religious household. The anti-patriarchal themes were hoped to be apparent and relatable to anyone who listens so that the listener can feel seen. However the goal when writing was also to have the listener be able to have something they can tie to their own day-to-day experiences with injustice of any kind. SUNSHINE sincerely hopes this song and future ones will find an audience that is attentive to each project's meaning so that the spirit of the project may come to life.
