R.J. is a dynamic, 19 year-old, independent R&B artist, music producer, and songwriter that is looking to bring back the genuine and soulful R&B vocals that were prominent in the 1990's and early 2000's. He was born and raised in a small town on the outskirts of Greenville, South Carolina. Coming up in school, R.J. was a very gifted student and athlete. Due to his talents, many of his peers grew jealous and he was mistreated by many of his peers and even teaching/coaching staff throughout school. Through his struggles, he anchored his frustrations and emotions into his music. R.J.'s father, once known around Greenville as "Rory Dee" was a locally famous rapper in the 1990's. Eventually becoming too busy to make music to the extent that he wanted, "Rory Dee" left his equipment to R.J., and the rest was history. R.J. wrote, arranged, and produced his first song at the age of 15 years old. Throughout his time in high school, he continued to make music and post it to various music streaming platforms. What makes R.J. so unique as an artist is his impressive diversity of style and amazing vocal range that allows him to nearly sound like a different person when singing in distant ranges of tone. R.J. loves all of his supporters and followers and wants them to know that he has only just begun!
