DJ Waffles hails from Brooklyn, NY but for the past six years, he’s called Atlanta home. Like so many recent artists and creatives in the Hip Hop industry in Atlanta, Waffles got his break working for industry powerhouse, Deb Antney. While working for Antney’s “Be 100” Radio as an engineer, DJ Waffles discovered both his DJ moniker and his passion for DJing. He’s since rocked crowds for Dwight Howard, Kent Bazemore, and held a residency with Atlanta’s own WNBA team, the “Atlanta Dream,” Microsoft, and more. He describes the reason behind his craft. “It’s the joy you bring when people enjoy the music. When you’re in a room with 6,000 people and you can make them feel good, it’s an adrenaline rush.” With more left to learn, Waffles ventured into mixtape hosting having hosted Kash Doll’s “Keisha vs Kash Doll” in 2016 and his recent independent artist compilation entitled “Juice Tape 2 - Ferris Mueller.” After keeping his audiences entertained for several years, DJ Waffles opted to take a brief hiatus in early 2020 following his father’s passing. He has since returned and continues to grow his brand by being a radio personality on Dash Radio (Southside Dash), hosting Rollingout Live, and serving as Head of A&R at RSG Agency and A&R at New Life New Label for Ferris Mueller. According to him, it’s important to continue to support new artists and find ways to remain innovative in this industry. He hopes to continue to leverage his platform “The Padded Room”
