Zenboy is the alter ego inhabiting the body and soul of producer Troy D'Arcy, born in Canada and currently residing in Brighton U.K. With inspiration and influences dating back to the good old days of 90’s techno rave culture from acts such as Orbital, Aphex Twin, Jam and Spoon, Meat Beat Manifesto to more modern day pioneers like Brohug, Four Tet, Mode Seleketor and Erstav, the Zenboy sound is deeply diverse and varied while still being uniquely cohesive. Experimental and unexpected but full of hooks and juicy fat electronic dance beats. Zenboy aims to create tracks that defy cookie cutter sound design paradigms, avoid adhering to disposable flavour of the month production styles and instead go for deeply trippy sonic adventures with funky rhythms that can stand the test of time.
