Hip Hop Artist and Producer, Shawn Shade, is the true definition of "started from the bottom". Graduating in 2012 from Gilbert High School in small town, Gilbert, SC (Outside of Columbia, SC). He decided a couple weeks after graduation that he wanted to be a musician, and he never looked back. He was inspired by, Ben G (Previously signed under Waka Flocka Flame) who also grew up around Columbia, SC. With Shade knowing that he was no better than the next guy, he steadily worked 24/7 until he started to progress. Once he got the ball rolling, he contacted Ben G, in hopes of purchasing a feature. A few months later, Shade released a remix to "Molly" by Tyga ft Wiz Khalifa. Ben G did a verse for Shade on that remix. Shade and Ben G would stay in business as he had Ben G in another track already released, "Don't Know" also featuring Columbia Artists Nique The Geek and Jesse Leprotti. They also put out one more song back in 2015 called "Silence". From 2017 to 2020, Shade mostly collaborated with a close friend of his, Jay-Oh. From 2020 to early 2024, Shade had to take a break from music due to the pandemic. In May 2024, Shade debuted his first Production Album "New Beginning". Shade has always had a reputation for putting music out on a consistent basis, whether it has made money or not. "God gave me this talent, and this is how I use it." Whenever it comes to someone who loves what they do, Shawn Shade will always be one of the first people to come to your mind.
