Deejay Young is a singer-songwriter, actor, & performer, hailing from Tampa, Florida. Getting his first start at the young age of 5 on tour of the Gospel-theatrical stage play, "Daddy Please Don't Leave", he continued performing, & in 2019 joined the 1st Nat’l Tour of the hit-musical HAMILTON as a principal standby. He’s since performed at many prestigious venues across the world, such as Radio City Music Hall & Kobe World Hall in Japan. Young has also been highly received in Gospel arena, and has worked with Grammy Winners: Yolanda Adams, & superstar duo, Mary Mary, who hand chose him, along with television network, WeTV to perform at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans as the 2014 Raise Your Voice Contest winner. In 2023, Young joined Team Legend on NBC’s The Voice, singing a Maxwell inspired rendition of “This Woman’s Work” by Kate Bush, which was well received by critics. He has several albums: "The Rebirth" (2013), an award-winning EP, "Unplugged" (2016), studio album PRIMITIVE & live album THE PRIMITIVE SESSIONS both debuted on the Top 10 R&B/Soul US Albums "charts & Holiday album, “An Unplugged Christmas" was an Amazon Music Top Holiday Albums seller upon release.
