Lesley Rae Dowling is a singer, songwriter, piano player from the Cape Province of South Africa. She rose to fame in the 1980s with several albums, some of which were awarded Gold Record status. Almost as quickly as she rose to fame she disappeared from the media spotlight. The decision to do so was her own. Some of her recordings are still available but she has not recored anything new for over 15 years. Recently her producer, Terence McCullagh started re-mixing her old recordings.
