LATEST RELEASE: "Scott's Red Star" has been remastered for streaming and download! Born in Springfield IL, Peter began playing piano early in life. After he was shown basic chord structure by older brother Patrick, Peter began performing original songs for his kindergarten class. Formal lessons and classical training followed starting in 1st grade. At college he studied music theory and advanced jazz while pursuing an economics degree. Live performances were always key, starting with garage bands in middle school, then the debut of solo performances at college. After a couple of years of focus on a banking career, Peter missed piano and began composing. In 1990, Peter recorded these songs for his debut CD, “Café at Arles." New Progressive Music Journal wrote, “[he] composes music that paints memories and atmosphere with such beauties as van Gogh exhibited in his paintings…” St Louis Magazine noted, “[this] is no remake of George Winston’s Seasons. It’s a driving, private memoir, blending nostalgia with the passion of the present. The piano dives, dips, hesitates then plunges…” In 2000, after several more solo piano CDs, Peter collaborated with brother Patrick on a project that would feature Patrick on guitar, brother Chris on drums, and a host of guest artists. “Scott’s Red Star” includes an eclectic blend of originals influenced by jazz, folk, rock & world music.
