Animo, flute and piano duo is a Contemporary Music duo and the result of a longstanding friendship between flautist Sarah and pianist Yanna. We are a 'declassified' duo who are always keen to collaborate with other musicians and composers. Inclusive, laid-back and thinking 'outside the box'. Our core repertoire is made up of soulful and challenging music that has its roots in Jazz, Folk or World music and creates beautiful soundscapes, tells a story and is based on 20th and 21st century music compositional traits. Our first EP 'ANIMO one' was produced for our VIP guests at our official launch in October 2019 as a limited edition CD. ANIMO is about communication, collaboration and adventure. In just a short period of time we created our own team who record, film and support us. We have also started collaborating with other musicians to deliver vibrant concerts (KORES with soprano Wendy Nieper) and record more new music. 'ANIMO two' (2021), will be followed by 3 more albums which will include compositions from our 'new music project', a five-year project of commissioning new repertoire. Our technician, Adam Bertenshaw, is the third member of ANIMO and someone we trust implicitly to deliver our sound just as we imagined it. Discover the Music : Share the Experience
