Diontae aka Zen Master Zu, aka indigo Simpson, aka Mxster Simpson, aka Effortless He, was born in Inglewood, CA and grew up in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Raised by a single mother with two of his half siblings, he was always a dreamer who dreamed big of playing in the NBA and NFL while also burning with passion for the arts of music and acting. Diontae began writing in the first grade when he would create his own “mini” books to show his Mom. It wasn’t until the third grade when he would write his first rap, after hearing his older brother and some cousins rapping and singing together in a group. Diontae is heavily influenced by his family who had great taste in music and art, inspired by Artist like “The Temptations”, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, Eminem, and many more. Today, Diontae is a Father, and does a lot for the youth in athletics, as he Coaches, Trains, and Officiates High School Basketball. Music is a passion he doesn’t take too serious as he loves to create and perform for himself and his loved ones. He’s taken the independent route and believes that listeners will grow over time, and learn to love the Music he puts out. He is Supported by his Mom, his Dad, family and friends.
