Neil Armend is a German musician, songwriter and producer of EDM, House and Hip Hop with sound engineering background and 25+ years of experience. He started his career in the late 80s as Hip-Hop DJ and then got infected by the "Techno virus" in the early nineties mainly driven by the Dutch sound from R&S and the records from Warp UK. However due to his proper piano education Neil was rather looking for melodic patterns combined with hard techno drums and distorted samples. Hence he formed the project Spacewalker together with his brother Ron Spank in the early nineties in order to create and develop their own musical journey. The formation succeeded in the clubs as well as on festivals both with DJ sets and live performances and kicked off their 1st record label called SAXONY PRODUCTIONS together with their friends Grace & Hanne from scene magazine "Schicht!". Neil was also co-founder of Rouge Pulp Music, a House-focussed label partnered with Peppermint Jam, Force Inc US, Bearing Italy, OM Records San Francisco, Escalator Records Tokyo just to name a few. He still works as songwriter and producer and worked on various Hip Hop and House projects as well as with many RnB artists and alternative bands from all around the world. Further Neil is engaged in supporting young talents as well as School-bands, runs workshops and organizes training sessions mainly focussed on producing and mixing techniques. He's also a passionate photographer and film maker inspired by Stud!o K7.
