Lady Ze is a Nigerian-American beatmaker, engineer, producer, songwriter, vocalist, instrumentalist--the list goes on. She grew up in Prince George’s County, MD but chose to attend college in NYC in order to receive an education while pursuing a career in music. She received a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Fordham University in 2017 and an M.M. in Music Technology from NYU in 2020. Lady Ze describes her overall sound as a mix of soul, r&b, hip hop, jazz, funk, and pop, while citing India.Arie as the artist with the greatest influence on her music. Other artists she draws inspiration from include Lauryn Hill, Kehlani, Tori Kelly, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, and Jill Scott.
