Vanya is the solo project of Iván Brito, Argentinian musician and sound designer based in Berlin. His solo project began in 2016 while he was living between The Hague and Amsterdam and doing a Research in Electronic Music programme at STEIM (Studio for Electro Instrumental Music). Vanya’s sound aesthetics is grounded on coding softwares for the creation and exploration of new sonic experimentations. All of his production is directly implicated by computer music and regards his live performance a more physical experience. With an extended background as drummer, his performance is distinguished to be harsh and raucous by blending a dichotomy between electronic music and acoustic instruments. Whilst maintaining an experimental approach, Vanya's style is likely to relate with downtempo, post-noise, wonky music and experimental club music.
