Jahlil Yuzell Witt (born October 16, 1993) known professionally as Souf Papa or Souf is an American rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur. Born in Newark, NJ and raised in Prince St Projects , an uprise housing projects . He live with 3 families in a small apartment and his mother who was a mom of 2. In 2000, Souf was put up for adoption and has been with 5 or more different families. Once adopted his adopted mom passed of HIV 2001 and biological mother passed in 2003. Fast forward ,Kylee, Souf’s daughter is about 6yrs old and his biological brother who is 21 awaiting release from jail. Despite all the family issues Souf did manage to reunite with his biological family by finding his sister on Facebook in 2017. As time moved forward Souf Papa has moved to GA in 2004 and has been raised in the Hinesville and later Atlanta area. He began opening up for acts such as 2 Chainz , Gucci Mane , Sevyn Streeter and Zoey Dollaz. Upon moving to Atlanta (Clayton County, Fayette County ) Souf Papa immediately began putting work as he made a few small appearances around the city, from hittin the stage every other night to a passive cameo on “ Growing Up Hip-Hop“. Souf Papa gives nostalgia of the Dirty South from the early 2000s. With his deep country voice , raspy delivery and southern background , he put listeners in the mind of T.I. , Dungeon Family and Killer Mike.
