Emeka as the son of a legendary bassist & storyteller grew up around music. Growing up in America exposed Emeka to new influences such as hip-hop, rap & R&B. From an early age Emeka took to traditional percussion instruments djembe, shakers, bells... being of both Jamaican & African decent made it easy for Emeka to remain connected to roots rhythms. Now Emeka mixes & blends traditional highlife of Nigeria with modern influences like late great Fela Kuti his father played for, to develop his own eclectic sound. Its about the message, positives vibes and uniting us as One Tribe.
