The duo echo & soul is what we call a perfect match. Oliver and Carsten easily connect warm, old-school analog music with the almost infinite possibilities of lovingly assembled digital sound. In the beginning, Carsten only wanted to finalize one of his new solo tracks and was looking for a recorded saxophone sound on the computer. But because electronic wind instruments from the computer often don't really sound good and as a musician he feels at home playing the bass, Oliver as being a professional saxophonist came into play. For both of them, it became clear real quick that what connects them musically also worked out perfectly in the studio. Thus the first collaboration turned into a permanent project by the end of 2023: echo & soul. While Oliver gives the whole thing a charming dub mix, Carsten ensures the finishing touches with additional synthesizer sounds and even more delays. The result is an organic and groovy electro sound with influences ranging from jazz, big beat, trip hop and dub to alternative. And, that sounds quite awesome, we think aka releases are coming up soon, trust us!
