Dizzcock is a Prague-based producer and the member of the Czech murky trio Lightning Glove. He debuted with EP A.L. which was inspired by artifical intelligence and the dystopian visions of hi-tech revolution. His next album Elegy of Unsung Heroes was a breakthrough when he won the Vinyla award 2015 in the category album of the year. The album was praised by music critics for it’s fresh contemporary sound as well as it’s political message. Dizzcock’s next album Night Rider came out at the end of the year 2016 and it further develops style and sound of the previous album. His latest album Unreal was released under Baba Vanga label on September 2018. Occupying that nocturnal sonosphere inhabited by ghosts, echoes and disembodied voices, Unreal by Dizzcock is a somnambulant, urban homage, veering towards eerie utopia. His music is inspired by the sound of periphery and contemporary progressive black dance music. It further explores the sound of UK post-grime scene, dub-like tracks establishing its sound on an almost forgotten early dubstep debut by anonymous producer Burial, trance and melancholic instrumental trap beats that could be compared to a production of an American beatmaker Suicideyear. Dizzcock is also parasitizing on the American rap mainstream by sampling vocals of famous MCs like Young Thug, Future and Gucci Mane. On his latest albums, Unreal, Night Rider and Elegy of Unsung Heroes, he proved, that he is an essential figure of the Czech experimental club scene.
