BxRod aka Bx is a Filipino-American singer and songwriter. She has made her mark on a style she’s dubbed “Fantasy Wave”, a clever combination of Pop, Contemporary RnB. Alternative and Electronic genres. Born and raised in the Bay Area via Vallejo, CA, she discovered her passion for the arts at a young age, immersing herself in an eclectic discipline of ballet, choral music and theater. Through her studies, she was inspired by musical influences such as Bjork, Aaliyah, Radiohead and Norah Jones. Bx began to experiment with creating her own music and amassed a fan base by uploading her early tracks to Soundcloud. Since then, she’s been featured on Craneo’s breakout hit “Cristal”, garnering over 20 million streams to date on Spotify alone. In 2023 she independently released her “Static Atmosphere” EP and its single “Play!” has been featured on Spotify Editorial Playlist: Fresh Finds: The Wave. She even made a cameo in Toro Y Moi’s “Postman” Music Video. Passionate about pushing culture forward, Bx takes pride in her Bay Area roots, as well as helping bring visibility to more Asian + Pacific Islander Women in music.
