What up, my names Jfinch. Im 29 years old, I grew up in Drayton valley, Alberta. I moved to Vancouver when I was 21 to begin my journey of becoming a musician/artist/rapper. I started drumming when I was 12 years old in a metal band and fell in love with hip hop when I heard my first 2Pac song “me and my girlfriend” as well as the slim shady LP around that same time. I’ve been doing Hiphop and performing music for almost 8 years now and enjoy every second of it. My inspiration comes from early 2000s like the chronic record from Dr. Dre, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' by 50 Cent @J. Cole , Kendrick Lamar, André 3000 as well as other genres like heavy metal/rock & roll ; artists like Lamb of God , Pouya $uicideboy$ Rage Against The Machine Nirvana and many more. I like to create songs that resonate with me at that moment in time . I don’t like to be put into a category or a box. I had the pleasure of opening up for The Palmer Squares twice in Vancouver and once for @Lil Windex. I recently did a collaboration with Elm Tree Circle “stoned” that has been doing great with the audience and was featured on the “New Rock Playlist “ It’s always been a thing for me to just create with what I have, Collaborate with other awesome creators/rappers/musicians and make new sounds in music that no one has heard before.
