Rather than identity with a single instrument, Maxton Hunter’s creative weapon of choice is the studio itself. Growing up on a secluded ranch north of Goleta, California, the imagination ran free with no limitations, ultimately leading him to music. Since 2019, Hunter's vibrant blends of modern psychedelia and new age pop serve as an homage to his coastal upbringing and wide-spanning musical influences. Outside of his solo endeavors, Hunter also works for Alan Parsons' ParSonics Studio and performs with various retro outfits including The Caverns, Blix (previously Glenn Annie), East Valley Road (with Brandi Rose) and Ryan Pollie’s ambient ensemble Academy of Light. Past notable collaborations include producing Lucy Branch’s debut EP and recording drums for artists such as Al Bert, Cecilia James, India Cunningham, Swaye and Third Ward.
