Big Glo (previously GloMan Ace) was born and raised (while splitting time with each parent) in the North East and North West quadrants of Washington, DC. Though his family moved to Montgomery County, MD in 2011, Committed to a career in football, he spent a good portion of his teenage years in North West where he continued to participate in organized sports. 
 Glo connected with music over many genres, as a youth, but felt most closely tied to “old school” Hip Hop, R&B, and Soul music. “Something about the raw emotion and passion of old school music just forces you to ‘feel’ it. There’s a song/vibe for everything”. With that connection to music - he decided to write. He and 2 friends spent 13 hours writing their first song “Gang”. Impressed with their creation – the group recorded it the next day and received great feedback and the start of a growing fanbase. 
 Glo cites Jay-Z, Biggie (Notorious B.I.G), Lil Wayne as some of his biggest musical influences amongst many others. Also says that artists like DMV’s own Swipey and Will Tha Rapper inspired him to create his own sound and record his own music. He describes his sound as lyrically based, upbeat, and punchline driven. 
 When it’s all said and done Big Glo hopes for his music to reflect the greats (that have come before him) while strengthening his sound for the new generation.
