katacrossthestreet is a songwriter, singer, beatmaker, and poet. Born in California and raised in the PNW, she moved to LA to pursue music and art. Singing and writing music since she was a child, kat has cultivated a unique sound of her own, sampling her own vocals on self-produced lofi tracks and recording acoustic songs in her bedroom. She draws inspiration from an array of artists; ranging from old-school blues and jazz, to 60s and 70s soul, to 90s neo-soul and hip-hop, to 2000s indie pop and electronic. Her tastes are heavily influenced by her many years working in a record shop and digging through crates of vinyl.
