Tao Issaro: is an Indian/Australian percussionist, composer and performing artist based in Kerala. Born into the artistic tribe of the "Daksha Sheth Dance Company”, Tao has performed over 1500 performances in 30 countries, in over 25 international arts festivals. Over the years Tao has developed a unique and dynamic live performance language combining percussion, movement, physical theatre and story telling. Tao has performed with such renowned artists as George Brooks, Felix Zenger, Mathew Sharp, Kutle Khan, Manish Pingle, Sameer Rao, Rajasthan Roots, Tribemama Mary Kali, Rex Vijayan, Neha Nair and Job Kurian, and at international venues like Royal Albert hall (UK), John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts (USA), Woodford Folk Festival (Australia) and the Perth International Arts Festival. As a composer in 2020-2021 Tao produced and performed his music for notable groups such as Tura New Music (Australia), Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company (Australia), Casa De la India and Residui Teatro (Spain), Abheri Roots Praana Festival 2020 (India), Maati Baani (India), Kerala Tourism and the Indian Navy. Tao also released his debut EP ‘LAYERS’ which is also available on all streaming platforms in 2020.
