Raised in The Hampton Roads city of Newport News, Eric Jaye is a multifaceted artist on a mission to change the world one record at a time. As a child, Eric was exposed to an eclectic palette of sonics, including traditional Gospel, Jazz, Soul, Pop, Country, and Rock. At age 7, he began playing guitar and drums, jump-starting his transition from music fan and spectator to contributor. Growing up in Virginia, inside the 757, he naturally gravitated towards The Neptunes' interpretations of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop. Additional local influences like Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and The Clipse heavily inspire the music he crafts. "I like to create records that paint a picture of my life as well as my faith and make people move. Music is personal to me, and I believe the best kind of music evokes some type of emotion." Since committing to music full-time, the growth has been impressive. Catching the attention of legends from his creative videos, funk-heavy basslines, and catchy musical phrases, Eric built a strong digital platform when a sequence of his Instagram videos and songs went viral with some notable music superstars. Collaborating with Snoop Dogg on "I've Been Looking For You," off his I Wanna Thank Me project, and lending guest vocals for Ras Kass on "MLK DAY," Eric is hard at work developing his craft, and preps to release his latest project shortly.
