Making musical connections & collaborations driven by pure joy 🦋 ISHA is a 23-year-old producer, artist and multi-instrumentalist splitting her time between the vibrant cities of Amsterdam and London. Her fresh funk beats with a rare-groove appeal characterised by strong bass lines see influences from the 70's and 80's funk, hip-hop, and jazz scene, but also modern-day acts like SG Lewis, Jungle and FKJ. In 2023, ISHA made a splash with her debut EP, 'Bending Colours', released on the UK label Juicebox FM, which garnered early support from notable platforms such as BBC 1 Xtra, Jamz Supernova, and Foundation FM. Taking her unique sound to the stage, ISHA embarked on a solo live-set tour across the Netherlands and the UK, she played stages like London Jazz Festival, Bird, Paradiso, Brixton Jamm, 91 Living Room, ADE and Mysteryland Festival. Beyond her musical talent, ISHA is on a mission to challenge stereotypes. Refusing to conform to the expectations often placed on female artists, she pushes against the assumption that a woman on stage is merely a singer-songwriter. In her upcoming project in 2024, ISHA initially aimed to collaborate with male vocalists, but her artistic spirit led her to experiment with her own vocals on one of the records.
