SYLLA Ink is a Senegalese-American writer and performing artist of rap music based in Tampa, Florida. 
 His journey as a professional musician began over 13 years ago. Bored in his middle school classes, Sylla Ink filled pages of his notebooks with lyrics over his teacher's voice. He wrote about any and everything coming out of his life experiences which included topics of culture, love, and society. But it was not until one day while hanging out at a friend's house he decided to jump into the recording booth and turn his lyrics into a song. 
 Fast forward 2016, music is just the beginning of SYLLA Ink's endeavor. Alongside his music, SYLLA Ink produces a clothing line called Quality Clothing to motivate and uplift productivity in the black community. His mission is about "Never Let[ting] the Hood Down". He believes that compassion is something his audience relates to. And, they do. 
 No matter concert, album, social media or just plain hanging out his followers span from across the United States to Europe to West Africa.
