Born and raised in Grahamstown (Eastern Cape) South Africa, ZooRoyi is a versatile DJ of a new African generation. Zoo wants to explore music in every direction around the world, with one foot in Ireland and the other in South Africa. His passion for afro house, electronic, deep tech, deep house, soulful house, lounge and jazz music is deeply rooted, influenced by global rhythms and predominantly focusing on grooves which he describes as Afro Tech. The spirit and sensuality of his sound have gained him acclaimed recognition. Zoo is working towards making a number of world appearances & portraying the best image of what lies inside his heart. He has had the pleasure of presenting his unique talent at some of the big events around the World like ADE Amsterdam, Electric Picnic Ireland and Grahamstown National Arts Festival South Africa. ZooRoyi is one of the creators of the Iron Rods Music Label.
