Super Fantastics are feel-good Indie Pop, drawing on influences from electro-pop (Postal Service), skate-rock (Sublime), and Latin folk (Caetano Veloso). The sound is full and crisp, and extremely unique, ranging from Indie rock anthems to Portuguese/Spanish love songs. The lyrics tell a story, and are intelligent, upbeat and positive. They reflect our most common everyday feelings such as joy, nostalgia, anxiety, love, and serenity. The words are simple and evocative, and sung with a full heart. The Band: Daniel Scharff - Songwriter, lead singer. His songs are like his personality, happy and alive, even when delving into anxiety or other difficult topics. Robynne Merguerdijian - Instrumentalist, bass player, composition contributor & music director. Udi Lazimy - acoustic and electric guitar. Heavily influenced by guitar greats such as Trey Anastasio, Jerry Garcia, Tony Rice, and Bluegrass, World Music, and Reggae Sevan Suni - An accomplished violinist, Sevan went electric and always sets the mood for our Super Fantastic brand of Indie Pop. Recorded entirely at the legendary Hyde Street Studios with veteran drummer/producer Chris McGrew. Built in 1969, Studio C (aka Wally’s HydeOut) has been home to many epic recordings, including classics by Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Cake, Green Day, Janis Joplin, Digital Underground, and Rickie Lee Jones.
