Concept is a a rap/hiphop recording artist originally from Santa Maria California. Raised on the Westbank right outside of the New Orleans area, Concept began rapping at a young age. While still in elementary school he would write his rhymes and record them over instrumentals on a friends karaoke machine. It was a hobby that turned into a passion. Around 2004, Concept met Mr. Sleepy, the CEO of Already Entertainment, while attending Louisiana State University. Shortly after, hurricane Katrina came and devastated his hometown, and he was forced to move back home. Here he put together a group that would turn into the powerhouse known as The Steppaz. Since then, the ups and downs of life, along with the experiences gained within the local music industry of the New Olreans area, have molded Concept into what he believes is the foundation for a prolific music artist. The balance that he provides in his music is unparalleled, with a style that seamlessly blends characteristics from southern, east coast, and west coat rap.
