Jackson Welchner is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and producer based out of Toronto. Singer of jazz, classical, folk, and improvised musics, Jackson always strives to “serve the music”. Over the past few years, Jackson has earned his stripes as a collaborative musician and sideman, working with straight-ahead jazz groups (Planting Pearl) to experimental electronic rock (Other Families). He is also an artistic associate with Spectrum Music, composing chamber music for a new ensemble each concert. After years of being a side man, Jackson started producing and releasing music in 2019. He released his debut EP in 2020 ("just a lil' EP"), and is gearing up to release a full length album in 2023.
